Karma strikes Ian in the behind again. After laughing at the misfortune of Marcel a few posts back about his inability to see DJ Shadow play in Wellington. I myself also did not have the fortune of seeing DJ Shadow live in Singapore. :(
Why the hell weren't any of the tickets sold before hand? Why weren't they jacked up to a premium price? Every man and his dog is going to go if you keep it at $30 with 2 free drinks.
Did the heat drain the logic and rationality from the organizer's heads? Or more likely they probably just didn't give a shit and wanted to cram as many people in as possible.
Is it really all about the bottom line here? Retards...
Yes, I agree I could've got there at 8 just to get in, but then if they had presales problem solved!

this is DJ Shadow, not Coldplay, and Coldplay had blimmin presales! I doubt half the people there knew who he was beyond what was described on the flyer.
I'm complaining about lack of presales. Screw waiting in line for 3-4 hours in Singapore, regardless of who's playing.
hahaha.. sorry to hear bro, good luck next time. But it seems like that DJ is trying to make some fans, selling the tickets at $30 and giving 2 free drinks <cough>.. <desperate>.. <cough>..
$30 and 2 free drinks is the standard in Singapore ;), unfortunately the owners make the rules.
I would've rather that they charged $60, that would've sorted the wheat from the chaff. I've got nothing else to do with my money here :-/
... well I lie... I could goto the red light district... but its not the same when you're not working there :P
Anywho hows things in Switzerland?
It's definitely fucking retarded. Apparently you couldn't move in the venue at all, and it was absurdly hot. Tards, tards, tards. It's supposed to be about the music... and the fans who actually like the music.
At least Slayer has presales here ^_^
DJ Shadow is a gaylord.
